Todd Takes

1. Cliff talked about the need to remain adaptable to learn new skills along the way to get the job done. It is clear, Cliff has great agility and a healthy curiosity which has served him well. It is interesting that he said that wasn’t natural for him and he had to get outside of his comfort zone. It is funny that in those moments when we have to stretch outside our comfort is often when the magic happens

2. We need to approach situations usually with a different mindset. Cliff mentioned that when he sets his mind to something, he knows he is going to achieve it and it becomes about figuring out the how. He followed that up with the quote “we don’t fail, we learn”. Amen. With so many things in life and construction, it may seem hard but when you approach it as a certainty it allows you the freedom to learn and grow in figuring out the details.

3. His passion for sharing knowledge to others and younger generations is contagious. There is a ton of power in simply showing up, investing time with others and seeking to have genuine communication with people.
