James Chesnut is the Senior Vice President of Nuclear Operations for Day & Zimmermann’s open shop business unit. In this role, he is responsible for fossil and nuclear maintenance, Value, and QA/QC services. James is a second-generation nuclear worker with 40 years of experience in construction, design modifications, outage management, and maintenance in the power industry.

1. The value of mentoring with diversity of thought in mind is massive. When we open ourselves up to create the space to learn from others with different thought processes, background and experiences, we truly are able to up level ourselves and those around us.
2. I encourage everyone in the construction industry to get involved with sharing the amazing opportunity that exists here. There’s a great story to tell, but we need to lock arms and tell it to those outside.
